Public Projects and Creative Work

Digital Humanities

Founder, Editor, & Overall Director. The Anthracite Coal Region of Northeastern Pennsylvania website collects, aggregates, and makes publicly available cultural, historical, media documents, personal memories and comments of the residents from the once heavily mined hard coal region of the northern Appalachian Mountains. It is a work in progress born out of consistent and sustained communication since I created a pilot on a Facebook page in December 2013 that now has thousands of followers generating daily interaction. The end goal is to build a community archive of these materials and include location-based digital mapping technologies.
